Dr. Swain - DDS
Dr. Swain - spent much of his time in Grand Haven with his family while growing up. He has been living and practicing dentistry in Grand Haven since 1987.
Dr. Swain attended Dartmouth College and Northwestern University before graduating from the University Of Illinois College Of Dentistry in 1982. He continued to practice dentistry in the Chicago area for 5 years before moving to Grand Haven to raise his family and begin his practice here.
Since he began practicing dentistry, Dr. Swain has always kept up with the advances in technology and dental medicine, ensuring his patients receive the most comprehensive and quality dental care possible. Dr. Swain is a member of the American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, and West Michigan Dental Society.
Dr. Swain loves working and living in Grand Haven, and enjoys being able to give back to the community. He has served on the boards of the Ottawa County chapter of the American Red Cross, the City of Grand Haven Human Relations commission, Tri-Cities Strikers soccer club, and Rotary Club of Grand Haven. A past president of the Grand Haven Area Jaycees, Dr. Swain has spent much of his time coaching youth soccer. He is currently the head of the Mission and Outreach commission at his church.
Tawny S. - Practice Manager
As the practice manager, Tawny is responsible for day-to-day operations as well as making sure that every patient’s needs are met. You may see her in the front office or in one of the treatment rooms. Her extensive dental knowledge and years of experience are an invaluable asset to the practice.
Patti F. - Front Office Manager
Patti’s welcoming smile will be the first thing to greet you when you arrive at Harbortown Dental. As the front office manager, Patti has many years of experience to better serve you. She handles all of the responsibilities with a high level of expertise, care and professionalism.
Ashley A. - Dental Assistant
Ashley assists Dr. Swain with all of the necessary procedures. She provides expert care for each patient and her attention to detail is vital. She is very efficient and keeps the schedule running smoothly. Patients love Ashley’s compassion and kindness.
Amy P. - Dental Hygienist
Amy’s high level of care and dental expertise will have you feeling comfortable and confident from the moment you meet her. She truly enjoys building relationships with our patients and helping them to better understand and improve their overall health.

Megan’s outgoing and friendly personality will have you feeling instantly at ease. Megan is focused on patient care and patient education. She absolutely loves what she does, and strives to provide a positive experience for every patient.
